Noise damage is cumulative and permanent
- The physics
Cochlear damage adds up over a lifetime and doesn't heal. What matters is loudness × time, on a brutal exchange rate: every +3 dB halves your safe exposure time (~85 dB ≈ 8 hours; ~100 dB ≈ about 15 minutes). Ringing after a loud night is a warning of damage, not a badge of a good time. Evidence ●●●●●
