Before adding anything — supplements, peptides, protocols — establish a baseline. This isn't optional. Several conditions mimic perimenopause perfectly, and the treatment is completely different.

Finding the right provider
A menopause-specialist OB/GYN or reproductive endocrinologist is worth finding. Many general practitioners are undertrained on HRT, and the biggest mistake is finding a provider who dismisses hormone therapy based on the outdated 2002 WHI study. The Menopause Society practitioner directory (formerly NAMS) lists certified specialists.

Timing note

Retest at 6 months after starting any protocol to assess response. Retest annually thereafter. Track symptoms in a journal alongside labs — numbers without context are less useful.
